The Haunted House
It was Halloween night. Lucy and her brother Tom were wearing scary costumes: Lucy was a witch and Tom was a vampire.
They walked slowly to the old haunted house at the end of the street. "We mustn't go inside," said Tom quietly.
But Lucy was brave. She opened the door carefully. Inside, there were spiders and bats everywhere.
Suddenly, they heard a strange noise. A ghost was flying silently towards them! "We must run!" shouted Lucy.
They ran quickly out of the house. Then they saw the ghost… it was their dad with a white sheet! "You should see your faces!" he laughed loudly.
